hahaha! now I REALLY blew my motor...and turbos

that's a violent laugh not a happy laugh

refer back to this:
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hlight=cracked

about a month ago I guess I cracked a seal from what the compression numbers read. So I didn't drive the car at all. But now I'm home from college and I wanted to earn money to fix the motor so I was driving the car to work the last 3 days. It was running great except for the idle going up and down and it felt no slower than before. Today I was just driving along and I guess I got a little too comfotable and downshifted to pass someone in the turn lane (went into 2nd at about 30mph), then I accelerated a little and prob hit 10 psi and BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hahahhaahhaaa!
DAMN now I know what you guys mean about blown motor. NOW I truly have a blown motor. What I had before was a dream in comparison. My vacuum before was about 7-9 at idle because it fluctuated and now it is 2-4. The car has harly any power in any gear and it's backfiring like a ****!! I got out of the car now that I just drove it home and it looks badass like 3 foot flames about 100 of them a minute coming out of my dual N1. Looks really cool but it sucks. I remember when it happened I looked through the rear mirror and I saw tons of smoke and lots of other ****. My seal was probably somewhere in there along with some turbo blades. OWN3D

Suggestions, Comments, Parts to sell me? (motor and turbos for sure, tranny and clutch would be nice also (package deal)) Anyone?

I have for sale a Pettit unlimited boost ecu, Apexi Dual N1 Catback, N-Tech intake (depends), Polished pettit ast (depends), Stock steering wheel with airbag, Tan floormats with new backings put on, Complete bose system with right amp going out everything else is nice looking and working great.

well, looks like you now "need" a 20b.
sorry to hear about it tho. Good luck bro with your car. I feel real bad, but look at it as an opportunity to upgrade to a 20b!

I also have some turbos that need a rebuild since one is leaking a little oil w/ minimal shaft play but won't cost as much as some others. good luck

damn dude that sux! Sorry to hear this. Have you thought about getting an engine from pineappleracing.com? Rob does some nice streetports and they have 65000mile/5year warrenties available. Hope you get your car running again soon. Sorry I don't have anything to sell you right now that's useful.

Most of us have been in this situation or a similar one with our engine - mine was a coolant seal - I didn't blow up but it let me sit on the highway - if you have to start selling everything off your car then maybe a streetport isn't in the picture. Even just a reman will be around $3-3.5K installed - a streetport could be around $4-5K depending on who you go with. Your trans is probably fine - turbos are probably shot - it's not the end of the world - hopefully you hve a decent rotary mechanic around you

no, no it's not cold I'm trying to sell stuff so it's helpful

Guys check your pms

Thanks for all of the advise guys but I know what's going on I just had my motor rebuilt 4 months ago and 4k miles ago so I know what route to go and such.
I also drive the car and so I know what is shot and not. The transmission has the 5th gear synchro and I can get one from japan for cheaper than paying to fix the 5th gear grind. The turbos still boosted to 10 psi last night on the way home but I'm pretty sure they are fucked and I know the motor is totally fucked it runs like ******* ****. And yeah I seriously doubt that I can rebuild it and even if I could I wouldn't because I want to do it right this time with all new parts.
I'm gonna go close to stock so the car can be really reliable while I'm in school. It's also not that slow totally stock.

a pineapple or pettit motor is the only way to go.
