haha. this guy was crazy

so my car has been down for a while and i just got the moeny together so i can do a street port. i goto this guys shop. its a hole in the wall shop first let down. i talk to him he has my car for a couple of hours to get an estimate on how much it would cost to get do a street port. calls me back tell me it gonna cost................. are u ready for this...... 18,600 for a street port. well needless to say i walked out on him so here i am. still laughing

I wouldn't pick any shop without seeing some of their previous work first hand and talking to some customers first if possible, especially for major projects...I've learned in time to do almost everything myself because I have a deep distrust of 'ASE-certified' mechanics.

Good luck finding the right place.

Sounds like he really didn't know how to work on rotary engines . So he just gave you a huge number so that you would go away and he would not have to admit that he did not know what an apex seal is.
