Had a small engine fire on engine bay, ID injectors, Rywire harness, fuel lines ,and FFE rails are damaged, luckily between my fire extinguisher and the Palm Beach County Sherriff that was given a ticket to another driver right next to where I pulled up I was able to keep the fire down till the fire dept arrived.

Who was taking pictures instead of helping as your car is on fire?
. Either way , as bad as it sucks at least your car wasnt a complete loss. Any idea what had started it?

In the first attempt to prime the system I found a leak on the secondary rail, took it back out and reinstall and primed the fuel system to 100 psi with no leak. The only thing I noticed is that usually after installing injectors I was able to rotate the injectors, but I wasn't able to do it to the secondaries with the FFE rails, primaries do rotate freely.
Fire fighters were really nice, they spray enough water to turn the fire off, they ask me to pull the fuel pump fuse out and to roll up my windows so they can rinse the fire extinguisher chemical of the car.

Having a extinguisher is a must on our cars, I believe that if it wasn't for the extinguisher that I have and the one that the Police officer had the car would had suffer more damage,
I still haven't started taking it apart, as work is keeping me very busy lately.
Still debating if I should get my Insurance involved, don't really want to do that but will need new Harness, Injectors, fuel lines, and Gaskets.

It's not worth having the insurance company get involved, especially with aftermarket parts. Try to identify the issue and have a fire extinguisher next time. Even though you have items to replace you made out quite well for an engine bay fire...

I have to agree with the previous post. It's going to be less headaches if you pay out of pocket for the parts. You'd have to take the car into an authorized service center for the estimate etc, which means tow bills, time without the car etc.
Your really lucky that it was extinguished. I've seen many car-be-ques not go so well.

Man that sucks, sorry for this to happen to you. So many fire threads lately, I carry a fire extinguisher already but I think I might want another one just in case now. The one I have is quite small and I hate to run out of agent before its out.
I've always been so paranoid of this happening to me. My car has been through an engine fire before I owned it, and it was not fun cleaning/salvaging parts. Glad it was caught in time with out destroying the whole engine compartment or the rest of the car
So for sure I will need new injectors, new Rywire harness ouch only 8-10 months old on this low mile crispy mil spec harness, new fuel lines, new gaskets, new injector spacers, vacumn lines, water temp sensor, fan sensor, probably tps, and haven't tested ECU yet.
