Guys with front end bra's
I looked around and didnt see much info on the subject so I was wondering a few things. I just got my car painted and wanted to keep the front end looking better. (less chips) So those who have them speak up and tell me what brand fits the best and does it rub the paint after installed (after a long period of time)
Thanks guys
BTW Im in the market for a new looking one.

i dont have any pics...but i will try to remember and take some this weekend....its just a nice bra because it was made for my R1 front end and goes all the way over my R1 lip with the vent holes made for the lip. It also goes further back on the fenders to cover more of the front end.....thats pretty much the only special part of it. Hope that helped explain it. Oh and there is no Mazda insignia on the center of the hood like the U.S. ones have that i have seen

i'd just use the bra when you go on a road trip, not all the time. also i prefer the ones w/ a net over the grill 'cuz whenever i drive on the interstate for extended periods i always end up killing lots of bugs and i don't like bugs getting onto the radiator, especially the oil coolers

I got the factory 2-piece bra and used it all the time until I saw that fine road grit got into the felt trim around the holes and edges. It rubbed on the paint and dulled the finish. It was also a pain to take on and off when it got wet. (Never leave on a wet bra.) The smaller section of bra that covered the leading edge of the hood also flapped a little in the wind at speed, rubbing on the paint.
On the other hand, it protected the nose from bug acid and stone chips, and you can wash it in the washing machine when it gets really dirty.

I have the factory 2-piece bra that I use when I'm on long road trips (in dry weather, of course). I noticed the first time I used it that it did rub the paint in a couple areas, which really pissed me off, so I cleaned it off and inspected it closely before using it a second time, and then it was alright. One time that I was using it, I hit a bird that flew right out in front of me at 70 mph, and it thankfully saved my paint in that instance, so... you never know.
