Guess my HP

OK, I know some of you on here are good at guessing hp #s. My mods are below, I have a stock port with block off plates so no emissions crap, and that also lets me use the simplified vacuum hose setup. I'm on stack turbos(seq) at @13-14psi max(till I upgrade the fuel). I want to get tuned in the spring but any one want to guess?
Here's a pic of my bay.

Good thing you included the engine prop rod when you did your hose job. Zip tied and everything.

With the blue prop rod, 320 rwhp
without the blue rod 190 rwhp (major boost leak)

Hey c'mon, it looks nice doesn't it? Looks better than mine all corroded and what have you.

320 is a good guess.

That has a lot to do with driving skill and tires. If you suck, and have hard tires, you won't break 14. With good street tires, and a good driver (not you, or you would not have asked the question), mid 12's.

Lets put it this way. I was a first time drag racer, on all season tires, with 260 hp, and I pulled off a 13.000 You should be seeing mid 12's easy with halfway decent tires. Get some drag radials and practice and you'll be seeing low 12's.

How can you assume I suck? Just cause I never went to an official track to test?

OK, lets be a bit more fair to Zyon. I think he knows the driver aspect. Lets reword his question and state it...What potential do my mods offer as a quarter time based on the power they can provide?

Yup. It's just one of those things you can't be good at without practicing. And the street doesn't count. You need practice at the starting tree and with official timers, etc. Don't go into it expecting to be good, you'll be dissapointed. Just accept that you're a rookie, like most of us, and learn as you go.

Unless of course you've done a bit of drag racing in other cars before, then you'll pick it up much quicker. But the FD is really tough to launch (found that out the hard way. I had a 2.7 60' time my first time out ) So even if you've had practice, it won't be easy.

Well thats what we were giving him. I don't expect him to even be close to 12's his first run. I know my car is capable of 12's, but not with me and my current driving skill (or lack thereof). But anyone will tell you that it can do it. The fact that I pulled of a 13.000 (yeah, 1 thousand of a second from 12's) with a horrible 60' time stands as testament that my car is capable of much better times.

We were giving him times based on having a decent driver and a hp estimate.

I didn't say you suck. I said you are not a good 1/4 mile drag racer. If you were a good/experienced quarter mile racer, you would know what the car is capable of. Sorry, no offense intended.

With all your mods and a PFC @ 12psi you only put down 260rwhp? Something's not right with your car??? I put down 273rwhp @ 10psi with just Petit dp,mp, Racing Beat dual tip cat-back and an airfilter in 90 degree hot south Florida weather. I'd have Steve Kan do some retuning man.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not putting you down or anything, just trying to point something out.

I dont know if he said what it is or not, or if this is a guessing game, but I would say less then 320hp like a lot said, I would say closer to 300hp

Did you see my mods? Relevant power mods: intake, downpipe, ECU. I gained about 40 hp with those. Everyone else, including Steve Kan, complimented the car on putting down as much power as it did with as little mods as it did. I still have the stock IC, cat, cat-back, for christs sake.

You having the mp, and cat-back will easily add 20 hp, negating my 2 psi increase over stock. And Kan tuned my car for a 10.8 AFR, as opposed to his usual mid 11 AFR, to leave room for me to get an IC or a catback.

I thought it was good.

Yeah, I also have the stock IC....And I still have my stock ECU. I didn't have to even turn up my boost.

But if your happy thats all that matters.

My car is sitting on a lot of untapped potential right now. Opening up the exhaust and cooling the intake charge will have a much bigger affect now that I have other things out of the way like having the ECU already, and non-seq etc.

Look for me to post a thread probably sometime next spring when I get the rest of the exhaust and an IC, and some more tuning. I'll be looking at ~300-320 hp then.

Amen. I remember watching one guy talking to one of the starters and not paying attention. When the lights changed, he sat on the line for a long time cause he had forgotten to put the car in gear.
