I made my own following RotaryRessurection's instructions and Damien's grounding point. Check the FAQ section for details.

I did a custom ground kit a couple days ago, based on Damian's instructions. I used 8 gauge wire from Best Buy, nice insulated red stuff, $10 for 8 feet of it. Totally cured the horrible hesitation I had with light throttle, or any electrical load on the car. I'm very pleased with the results. I can now drive around with the a/c on full blast, radio on, fans on, headlights on (every electrical load I could think of) with no hesitation at all.

I went ground crazy the last time my UIM was off. I got some crimp ring terminals, and a whole lot of welding cable from Airgas and grounded my relocated battery to spider web to all these:

-Engine bay chassis
-UIM
-Engine block around rat's nest
-Alternator
-Starter

I love it! The car cranks and starts like a dream (unlike before)! Furthermore, no hesistation, and no issues with electrical load.

Exactly how would the engine be up in smoke if you add more grounds?
