Greddy pully set or main drive
ok guys i want your opinion on this i got a rp performance main drive pulley and i got a midpipe on and i want to get rid of the airpump.Chris from rx7.com said that it would be wise to take of the main pulley and put the stock pulley back on and get the greddy pulley to remove the airpump since it comes with waterpump and alt pulley.
thanks for your help.

I run the Unorthodox Racing single belt main pulley AND the Greddy WP and ALT pulleys. The only challenge is finding a belt that fits for that combination that I have.
I used a Goodyear 4060290 belt. THIS BELT HAS 6 RIBS. This means you need to cut one off with a pair of scissors. Not hard.
I think that Max Cooper's website also lists a 5 rib Gates brand belt that works.
There is some dimming of the lights at idle, but other than that I haven't noticed any downsides to running this setup.
I dunno if the RP and the Unorthodox pulleys are the same size, but you might have to get a little creative like I did

Just a Q for you guys with pullies... is there any effect on the A/C? Mine blows really hard and cold and I want it to stay that way, though I don't want to be tied to my air pump.

I took of my Pettit crank pulley for the same reason, the belt barely touches the water pump pulley. I just bought my greddy pulley kit and will be installing it. I would have loved to run the stock pulley set, but i could not find a belt that would fit, i did find a 4 rib, but i wanted something to fit well.
