Greddy Profec install- need help

well I got my Greddy Profec B spec II in the mail last week , finding out it has no instructions. I tried researching this and found this Profec B (spec II install and review) thread but didnt come up with much help. Any help is needed. Such as tools needed, Time , etc. All help is apreciated.

Thanks

What do you need to know?

I mounted my conmtrol unit on the top of the column using velcro. Ran the power wire to the open switched slot at the top right of the fuse panel ( above drivers left foot ) and ran the ground to a 10mm bolt in the drivers side above the kick panel. I mounted the solenoid in the hole that used to be the mount point for the 4 rubber covered relays on the front of the passenger shock tower to keep it as far from heat as possible. The relays now rest under the headlight motor in the open space.

I will try to get some pics and info for you tonight.. I have the ProfecB Spec II up and running. Did you read the Lightning in a World of Thunder site on install and tuning of the ProfecB SpecI? It provided some insight as well as ideas about using it to control both the wastegate and the precontrol actuator..

I pulled the steering column grommet on the firewall loose on the right side, from the inside, and fed the wires and vacuum tube through it.

Be careful with that method - you could easily pinch the vacuum hose.
I previously had installed a boost gauge on my steering column. So I already had a vacuum line available to be T'd. I mounted my head unit in my glovebox with a custom carbon fiber plate. If you're going to mount your headunit on the driver's side, be ready to do some wire lenghtening.

If you are routing to the driver's side, the best (and relatively easiest) method is to:
1: Lift the front of the car, place on stands.
2: Remove the driver's side fender liner.
3: Look for the opening in the fender under the hood near the master cylinder.
4: Remove the Driver's side door sill and kickpanel.
5: In the miriad of wires running under the kickpanel, you will find some up and to the front that exit into the fender.
6: Use a small screwdriver to puncture the rubber grommet from the inside.
7: Feed the wires and hose along the firewall, through the hole near the master cylinder, inside the fender, and through the hole in the grommet under the kickpanel.
After that, I chose to:
8: Remove the gauge cluster
9: Feed the hose through the dash core to the appropriate location.

If you're mounting it in the passenger side, the instructions are similar..
1: 1: Lift the front of the car, place on stands.
2: Remove the passenger's side fender liner.
3: Where the ECU harness passes into the fender, there's a rubber grommet. From underneath the fender, pull it out (toward the front).
5: Push a wire from the outside to the inside. It should be manipulated to pass into the cabin near the ECU.
6: From there, I removed the glove box and passed the wires up through the dash core.

One note, place the solenoid as close to the wastegate as possible. Longer lines equal slower response times. Be careful to cut the hose just long enough so it doesn't kink, but has little slack. My solenoid is mounted to the factory solenoid rack just behind the passenger headlight. The profecB SpecII solenoid is significantly smaller than the SpecI, so you'll have flexibility of mounting.

Sorry, no pics yet. I got distracted by beer and celebrity boxing last night.

With the unit installed on a T04s SINGLE turbo with a HKS wastegate the instructions say to run the COM port hose to the TOP of the wastegate opening. So where doe the HKS wastegate side port hose go to ?

Somebody know the answer ?

Tom
