GReddy Profec B series 2 differences between version 1 and 2 installation

Hi there. i must have missed this on the manual somewhere. But I have heard a lot of guys referring to version 1 installation and version 2 installation and I am a bit confused. When you say version 1 installation, do you mean the Valve Unit Installation Actuator Type as opposed to the External Wastegate Type (version 2)? Is that what you guys mean?

I assume you mean spec II and the original, which looks like the new type S...

They're just different boost controllers...

On this site, there is an old post somewhere containing two graphics, showing version 1 and version 2.

They are basically two different methods of "plumbing" the boost controller into your car.

Try the search, I'm sure you'll find it

Version 1 maintains the stock prespool solenoid, version 2 does not. Most people (including me) have had better luck with version 2. Do a search and you'll find the diagrams.

there are also different ways of installing either type-S or profec B spec II..
thery are for for internal wastegates, external gates, and sometime just orientation of the turbo and gates.

connection to the intake manifold

Hey guys, sorry to be a pest. But where it says in the manual to cut the vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator and instal the supplied 3 way..etc, am I in the right place with my picture below?

this picture shows where I was thinking of connecting the blue silicone hose (4mm 2 metre piece from Greddy kit with t piece fitted). Am I way off? Is this even close to the right place? The black hose I'm cutting into originates from the manifold.

One end of the blue hose goes into back of unit, as you can see. Would it be correct of me to cut the hose here and insert t piece? I mean, I could just connect it to the join (There's a join here because it connects to Blow off valve.)
I sure would appreciate some help.

i thought so.
dont need the pressure from the fuel pressure regulator, just use the line/nipple fromt he UIM. I use one of the line for my BOV, and the other for the boost controller. ifyou look at your UIM you will see two nipples.

Perfect! Thanks for that. This is the pic with manifold and spare nipple. I'm sorry, even just writing that word (nipple) does things to me. I'm gonna have to see my psychiatrist and get some more of those blue pills.

tapping + wire into fuse box

Final question guys. Thanks for being good sports about this.
The + wire needs to go to a good home. I remember reading somewhere that here:

is a good place to put the + wire. Does anyone know what kind of fuse fits it, or do you just bung it in there? Does anyone have a better idea where to connect the + wire. Thanks guys.
