Question Greddy front mount intercooler installation instructions

Does anyone have or know where I can get instructions on how to install a greddy front mount intercooler on a 94 rx7?

I know its a custom job, but I'm looking for either a general guideline of what kinds of things need to be done, or a diary of events that took place when you installed your intercooler. I've already experience the k&n filters being in the way of the intercooler piping.

Sorru to those that have been trying to reach me I am out of town and have not had internet connection. If you bought the front mont from me it should have come with instructions. I will be back on Thursday of this week and can find out why some of them were without instructions.

I have a set of insturctions for the old style front mount greddy. If people need them i can scan and post online for them. I am pretty sure this is not the same as the newer style one. but let me know and i can try and get them scanned.

Rotary 93 I am also in the middle of my install. I have the front bumper off and radiator out and now waiting for instructions. Have you gotten any farther. I do not want to take out the A/C condenser until I know exactly where it goes. Do you have any help with this. I have enclosed a pic

Well this is where Im at:

I have the IC installed along with the bumper support (Just got done tonight)

Im just confused on:

1. How the A/C condensor lays and bolts up to..
2. Power steering cooler How and where does it mount...
3. Radiator How it gets supported and how do I put it in...

Their are plenty of other questions I had that would be answered if I had the damn directions....

Jason,

Are you working on this for us or what???

Havent heard back from you since I got the IC...

WHATS THE DEAL???

Please let us know...thanks
Anthony

how much cutting did you have to do on the reinforcement? I see you already have it mounted on the car. Did you already remove the A/C condenser?

well, I have decided to go with a professional who has done it before. It seems that putting the intercooler and pipes on is easy, but depending on how your filters sit, you could have a problem. New intercooler pipes may need to be made to avoid the filters, and its easier to go with someone who can fashion pipes as needed on site, than to try ordering what you think you need. I also found that the radiator does need to be repositioned and braced as well as the condenser. this is a complete custom job, and no instructions come with the intercooler. I found a pro who has done it before and knows the pitfalls.

Important questions that I have learned to ask:

1: Have you installed a Greddy front mount on a 3gen before?
- instructions do not come with many Greddy front mounts, so they need to know what they are doing ahead of time. once the intercooler in mounted, there is the repositioning of the radiator and condenser that must be done. the pro will need to create new braces because they will no longer fit in the stock location.

2: (if keeping the stock front end) Will you need to do any cutting on the bumper to the intercooler fit?
- no cutting is necessary unless they have no idea what they are doing.

3: Can you fashion you own pipes if you need to on location?
- very important and likely to happen since the piping sent is not standard

4: How long will it take to finish?
- those who have done it before will take approx 5 hrs. that's not to say that if they take longer, they do not know what they are doing because the shop could just be busy, but you should definitly start keeping a close eye on things and asking questions.

5: Will you recharge the AC and fill the power steering fluid?
- these fluids may be spilled, and need to be replace by the spiller. it's only good business.

I'm still in the learning process, and as I discover more questions, I will post.

hey, someone emailed me telling me to do this... "Hey if you need directions on the install of this look on the other rx7 forum just add the s to the end of forum and then do a search for greddy instructions and you'll see it." Ahh, a sphinkter says what? What? Exactly! Where the hell to I go to do this, I am going crazy!! I have done a search on all forum and I don't see it!
