straight off greddy's website.... The radiator gets moved around a bit with the FMIC install, so that will just go in with everything. Just a note on the FMIC, you will need a small battery or you will need to relocate the battery to the storage bins or hatch.

Seriously, I think you should sell it. My water temps were a mess with that thing and my air temps were always higher than my friend's FD with a stock mounted intercooler. I think the problem is it sits so far forward (you have to hack up the bumper to make it fit) that air has a tendency to spill back out of the bumper mouth instead of going through the core. Also the fact that the turbo(s) suck air from behind the radiator probably doesn't help either. Overall it's a pretty $hity solution compared to the other options out there.

^^^Well I like mine, temps are ok so far and looks great. I don't think that Greddy would sell something that would not work. I would expect that from some kit off of ebay but not from someone like Greddy or HKS. Just an opinion but perhaps you didn't have the right combination (i.e. the right i/c kit and/or rad) for your application.

It's not complicated to install, just takes a little time. Need to trim the bumper a little and those two metal pieces sticking out where the horn is attached on the driver's side and the passenger's side, I cut mine up to the welding points without touching the welds. I had to re-locate my battery to the bin because I have a stereo system and I didn't think that small of a battery would be able to carry it. The install took me one weekend but I needed to replace a few other hoses and polished my uim so the whole thing took me about a week.

Alot of greddy products aren't the best in my opinion. It works, but if you plan to road race the car you will need to find some way to route air to the radiator. I ran ducting under the intercooler to get air to the radiator. I wanted to be able to road race the car, do highway pulls with the ac on, etc without worrying about temps. For street driving you should be able to get away with it. Make sure you keep the undertray on.

Again, I'm not saying it doesn't work, but there are other options that work better and require less hacking. If you want a FMIC, get an HKS. As for my setup, I had a PWR radiator and a special duct going to it. The turbo was getting air from the engine bay. The setup would probably work better with a fresh air duct to the turbo, but it was nearly impossible to find room for one because of the way the Greddy IC piping is routed. The whole point of buying a massive IC IMO is to lower air temps. Mine were higher than both of my friend's cars that had smaller stock mounted M2 intercoolers.

I run a Blitz FMIC (vs the greddy--I'm the friend monakar mentioned with the SMIC) for the reasons mentioned by Chris and Ihor.

I've been having some luck lately with the Greddy getting lower coolant and underhood temps during hard street driving with some ducting. I also got some air under the IC by adding half inch spacers on top of the R1 lip which helped quite a bit when paired with the ghetto ducting I did. I think Chris and Ihor had pioneered this ages ago.

I had a FMIC on my last FD. It was the mod I regret the most after a transmission brace. Lag increase, turbo response get slower and temps go up faster while in traffic.

Can you V-mount a Greddy FMIC? Or is that a stupid question

edit: was a dumb question... can be done, but is financially irresponsible
