FD3S Base or R1 Door Panel vs Touring Panel Difference

Howdy.

Apologies in advance if this has been covered before...I did search. Actually, I do believe that part of the issues with searches...or lack thereof...apart from lazy people are that the Titles of the subject matter is not always relevant, hence poor search results.

So my question simply is: If I have door panels from both a Touring and an R1/Base, what if any difference is there? In particular, if I had Base panels but wanted to swap in better condition touring panels, could I swap the base brackets as well?

I'd be shocked if this has not been covered before and perhaps my search-fu is weak but hopefully this thread will be better for searches in the future!

Search goes through posts as well NOT just titles.

I have never heard of any difference in the panels.

look in the parts catalog... the panels were the same 93-95.

there is a difference in the black trim/passenger door handle, the 93's have a smooth semi gloss finish that peels and becomes shiny

the 94-95's have a textured plastic finish.

I believe the panels are the same between models. Model years are different though. In 94+ they added reinforcement to minimize squeaks.
