Great results with the Protek R fuel lubricant!!~~ :)

Hi I just recieved my 1 gallon of protek R with 4 additional 4oz bottles and man I really think this works!!~~ Here is my story...

After i put in like....about 6oz of this stuff to my gas tank and full tank of gas I noticed that the engine idled more smoothly... I have a power FC and people know that idle really stumbles with that ECU. Anyways... the biggest difference I noticed is that the engine got more silent...

when I drive the car in the morning when the radio is off and the windows are up... I can hear the engine...like...hmm... I can hear the apex seals rubbing against the housings... like a metal to metal sound.... but after putting the protek R the sound went away... so I do believe it does give out less friction to the motor.

In the high end the power transition feels more smooth and powerfull.... smooth and then when it hits boost... the transition is really noticable.

I'm no advertiser and I am always skeptical about these mystery oils and stuff... but I think this stuff really works... it doesn't add Horsepower of anything like that but I can tell there is less friction involved when you put this...
I'm planning to keep my car for more than 5 years... so I don't want to blow the motor... the rebuilt has been about... 10000 right now.

Anyways... anyone else have some good experience with this stuff???

I usually can't hear the apex seals because the sound of the coolant running through the radiator is way too loud.

I think your omp is going bad. I have used Protek R for 2 stright years, and I just stopped for the past month. I have noticed NO difference with it or without it.

I normally add some Penzoil synthetic 2 stroke oil to my fuel on race weekends but I notice no noise or driveability changes at all with or without it.

I use some marvel mystery oil in each tank and I feel a little less vibration...I can definately tell a small difference between a tank without MMO and a tank with it.

I don't think my OMP is bad.

Could be my imagination but I truly don't think it is.

I use 8oz of Penze Oil 2 Cycle for every fill up...But then I have 3mm seals and am a paranoid ****...

I used to use MMO but quit...Have you looked at the stuff in it? It seems like more of a cleaner than a lubricant....and it's so thin.

Yeah, I've often thought the same thing about how thin the MMO is. I think it's a good balance between cleaner/lubricant, and with a working OMP, I decided that the marvel is a good choice for me. If I wasn't running the OMP I would definately be using 2 cycle oil!

I am just curious--is there any other reason you switched from MMO or did you just feel the 2 cycle would be better suited for your application?

Was just better for my app...My OMP is still stock and i'm runnin 3mm seals on a ported reman. Just being safe and keep piece of mind.

You will read on here as I did that Protek is the same as MMO but when you have the chance just rub your fingers together with each on it...The MMO is just thinner and also pours thinner too.

Has anyone ever used Auto Rx, an oil additive that loosens and cleans the build up of engine debris?
