Got my M2 trailing arm set, any help I'm willing to take
Hey I'm going to put these things on myself and was just wondering if anybody had anything to help me in the job? Anything I should look out for or keep in mind? Instructions would be nice guys! (M2)

VERY easy to install. One thing that got me confused was that these trailing arms are a little longer than the stock ones. However, that's how they're meant to be (I confirmed with M2).
- Jack up the car, one corner at a time, or the whole rear (jack up under the diff).
- Remove a stock trailing arm; you may need some force here - both of the stock bolts are usually tight and get kinda locked in over the years....
- Move the suspension back a hair (you can do that, with the trailing arm off!) to make the new unit line up properly.
- Reinstall both bolts.
- Get the car aligned once you're done; Pettit has good street and track specs listed on their site.
Additional suggestion: Throw some anti-seize compound on the small metal bits that sit inside the heim joint.
Good luck - this is one of the easiest mods for the car!

I don't think it makes a difference. However, I have mine so that the trailing arm is farther in - more clearance for a bigger rim/tire in the back, if I go with a bigger-than-stock size.
