Got my ebay midpipe....am i missing something?

well i got my ebay midpipe today. everything looks okay but i was flipping through some threads here and saw some pics of high flow cats. there's this metal rod welded onto those pipes and im wondering if this is important because mine does not have it....it's just a straight pipe.

you can see it all the way on the right side...not to be confused with the airpump outlet.

do i absoluetely need this? because i just a a straight pipe and thats all.

My midpipe doesnt have it either, it only weighs a few pounds compaired to the stock/high flow cats 30+ #s, so I dont think it needs it for support.

My catless midpipe also does not have a hanger. It is only there for additional support for the heavy cat.

Dont need it. Most mid pipes dont have a hangar. Mine does not.

I have a hanger on my midpipe, but it's not really needed. The thing only weighs a few lbs anyway, so it shouldn't put that much stress on the bolt/flanges.
