Got my car back from Gotham Racing

Got it back on Tuesday, and already put ~300 miles on her. All I can say is DAMN I'm impressed. It pulls almost as hard right now with ~1 or 2 lbs of boost than it did with 10 before I sent it there with a blown motor. 5 apex seals busted. Yep, count 'em.. 5.

I went full on and got a HUGE street port (but idles perfect!), BNR stage 3 turbos running parallel, m2 intake (with Gotham Racing hard pipes), midpipe, m2 large IC, Tial BOV, Supra fuel pump to push 1600cc secondaries with Gotham fuel rail, SX fuel pressure regulator, ACT Street/Strip clutch, and a Profec B Spec II boost controller.

There's probably more but that's all I can think of right now.

It's super hard to keep from flooring it right now, but it has quite a bit of power even without running any boost.

Monday Steve gets back from his tuning sessions in NJ and I plan on being at his shop right when he gets back from the airport to get my **** tuned .

From how the car feels right now, I have no doubts that @ 17 lbs of boost we'll hit the 400 rwhp mark.

And for all of you still waiting on more dyno numbers with the stage 3's, you'll definately get 'em within a week or two. I'm gonna beat you Rich!

Here's a couple pictures of the new engine bay:

Some people see red X's when I link to yahoo photos. If so, go to http://photos.yahoo.com/cavellm@sbcglobal.net Then click on the Gotham album, then Engine.

It also has pictures of the shop and my car/engine at various stages of disassembly.

Cavell

Everything looks REALLY good. Also, to touch on what scratchjunkie said, did they have to modify the intake pipes at all or did everything line up?

Can't wait to see the dyno numbers. Just by seeing Goodfella's dyno #'s on the BNR3s I think I'll be ordering them myself.

Most of it was covered by aftermarket warranty...

All in all though, ~9 grand.

I modified the lower pipe to fit a bit, and also cut the coupler some as well. Kind of a hard space cause it's so tight of a bend, and the couplers are pretty long.

Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes of work though.

Can't remember the name of the guy who owns the black FD, but it's a monster. Guy named Marcus Williams built it, and it's there for Steve to iron out a LOT of bugs. He's got it running pretty damn sweet now, it's an awesome machine.

Doooood, congrats...I am going down there around late August early Sept. Really can't wait...

With 5 seals broken did it damage the rotor housing or rotors?

You're Eddie, right? I was meaning to ask you for a ride in your car so I coulda gotten a feel for what mine'll feel like.

Next time you come to Dallas let Steve know, we'll see how each other's cars compare!

And yes, the rotors and housings both were severely fucked up. The motor had such low compression you could spin the flywheel easily with your pinky finger.

This is one of the reasons I am apt to taking my car down early instead of blowing the motor first...I think about it as saving myself 1k in core charge. I'll give it two more months of hard driving and then off to Gotham City!

Man, Eddie, I'm psyched......on a road trip from PA to NJ yesterday with my dad driving, Steve spent *3 hours* tuning the hell out of my car. My dad is very impressed, not just in ***** to the walls acceleration (which it's got) but in the smoothness and driveability around town in the lower part of the rev range.....

Only the intake ports my man, and they're not exactly small. KD can port a motor. And I have the Kan patented "Super Duper Turbo Spooling [Exhaust] Ports." Do you have them? Go look at yer invoice slappynuts, and I'll bet ya a month's pay you don't .

Hah! Like invoices mean anything

Apnea, I had to wait until it went cause I have a warranty.. They wouldn't cover low compression or a coughing engine. It's all or nothin with them.

Just sucks that it took out my complete engine, and both turbos were uber fucked.
