Got it Clean!!

Yesterday me and 2 of my buddies from OSU detailed my car for about 2 hours. We got the car looking amazing for still having orginal 93 paint. My mirrors used to be beyond faded, the solition to get shine back in them was too use metal polish on them, i know this sounds crazy but it worked amazing on the mirrors.

I can't get the images to load on here so here is my car domain site.
All of the pictures on the first page were taken yesterday not long after being done.

My guess is the metal polish took off an oxidized layer of paint. Let's hope it left enough on there. You still need to put a good layer of regular wax over the mirrors, if you haven't done that already.
I've used that red colored car wax from Turtle Wax on my car. I've owned it since new and the mirrors still match the body.

Thanks!!!

I had a feeling thats what the metal polish did. I was getting to the point where i was going to have the mirrors repainted, so i thought the metal polish and few coats of wax wouldn't hurt to try. And since it worked i'm happy as hell.
My paint in a few spots though is getting thin, almost to thin in some spots to use a buffer a buddy of mine was telling me.
