Got another one for the group
Too bad this ones not mine, but my best friend picked this one up today. Other than repainting the headlight covers, this thing is sweet. street port (3mm seals), apexi fmic, koyo rad., supra pump, 99 spec turbos, Work Equip 3 piece rims. 265 in the rear. You name it, its got it.

What the deal with those "braces" on the 99 front spoiler? Do we actually need these to support the Lip "at speed"? I mean, I have no way of knowing if mine bends up while "at speed".
And if we do need 'em, where can I get them?

The braces are there for major support and adjustability. Have you ever just pushed a little on the '99 spec spoiler? It will bend just as far as you want to push, with very little resistance. I dont know how you mounted your '99 spec spoiler, but the "braces" work damn good and I dont think they look too bad either. I have some on my 7 too. You can even turn the turnbuckle and raise the lip for speed bumps and lower it for looks. The only problem I had was it pulled on the bumper too hard so I put a backing plate where it mounted tp spread the load.
All I did was go to home depot and bought (2) 5.5" turnbuckles with O loops on the end, I then bought 4 threaded O loop hooks, attached the O loops together using a 2 clamps to pry them apart and to put back to the normal position. Once each O loop hook is attached to both ends of the 2 turnbuckles, I screwed the O loop hooks into the lip and the bumper and then threaded them back into the turnbuckle. Pretty easy actually.

No, the cars in the garage are mine, his is the mb one. I guess you actually have to see the brace in person. It does look a hell of a lot better on black cars then it does the mb's. He plans on painting his black.

the headlight covers where hard to explain. The guy he bought if from said he was cruising one night around 120 mph, hit the stupid bumps usually before bridges and just heard a thunk. Turns out, the old headlight covers flew off.

Is the lip spoiler hollow? Even if it is, if you think it's strong enough, you could always drill all the way through and attach it with a low profile nut with that special thread lock nut thing on top of it.

The thread locking nut I tried to name looks like a washer and spring put together. The more you tighten down the nut, the less they will move via friction.
