I don't like to divulge and advertise what I pay for any of my stuff. Not if I had paid 10K or 30K. Its really no ones business and that is not the point of my thread or sharing the car with anyone. I bought the car for me to enjoy and that has no price limit. The price was fair and very market value for this kind of example. I think I got the better end of the deal as you just can't find "new stock" FD's fully functional and original, I have been looking. If you must know I would be happy to PM you.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, it is a good idea to replace the rubber hoses, main radiator, heater and turbo water; along with the flexible brake lines. Rubber deteriorates. Of course you have a '74 so you understand life preservation.

Hello matty,

While maybe not you, I am tired of dumb *** comments like "Oh, you paid way too much" or "hey I paid 4000K sucks to be you"....etc etc etc, and I do not and did not want this thread to be filled with kids or people that have bought their FD's (requiring WORK) for a fraction of what I paid thus filling this thread with such comments. This is a thread about my find and how a stock low car may still exist hidden away. There is nothing wrong with a 4000K FD as it will eventually become a 20K plus car anyway. This caliber of a stock and original FD and its rarity obviously commands a higher premium and I have been looking for a while and saving for a longer while to find this car. I simply decided to start at the top part of the spectrum vs doing the climbing.

After all a car can be rebuilt and restored a million times but it can only be original once.

In the end its an FD and thats what we are all here to see. They are all good cars.

^ ^ I understand you perfectly. Those are the reasons I bought mine as clean, low milage and stock as possible. Although I understand how others can be curious.

Another reason I don't post what I paid is that if you decide later on to sell it. If someone knows that you got a good deal, their offers are always lower. I don't know how large or small your community but in mine there are only 2 or 3 FD's within 100 mile radius, so every potential buyer knows your car.
