hmm, wierd?

I just went non-seq a few weeks ago, and with downpipe, gutted main cat, and k&n filter i've been getting 9-10 lbs of boost through all gears. well today i took off my CRV and capped the lines, and WOAH! boost built so quick and shot right to 12lbs...i left off quick to hear an extremely loud PSHHH from my vented stock BOV...even that was louder. i took the ~10 inch BOV stock hose and cut it in half, i think that may be another reason why it was so much louder.

i dont know if this is normal, or if i messed something up, but i think its time for a boost controller to turn this thing down! any dangers in what i did or reason for why boost was so much better?

well before removing the CRV, i was planning on installing a boost controller so i could drop it down to 7 when i want, and then up to around 11 when i wanna go fast but now it looks like im gonna have to get on for sure...just to get it down to stock boost. do you think 10lbs with a fully open boost controller (same as it would be without the restrictor pills) is the lowest i'll be able to get? i was hoping for sort of a "slow" setting of boost for when i have to break in the new clutch.

Are you running non-seq or something. It seems like you would have a very lousy turbo transition with seq and no CRV.

Max, I know it's late but the first line says "I just went non-seq a few weeks ago". Please have some breakfast and wake up
