Wow, that's quite a run-on sentence. Impressive

I wouldn't buy it. Seems kinda sketchy to me. Buy one from the rx7store...

Unscrupulous sellers, Apex-i does not make short shifters - if that is what they are claiming or insinuating. Post the link.

I have a B&M, and it's sweet. Once broken in, little effort to shift and the throws are nice and short.

i think you're talking about the height of the shifter..yes the stock shifter is short in height but a short shifters purpose is not to make your shifter smaller than it already is but to shorten the shift THROWS in order to change gears quicker.

Im pretty stoked with my C's short shifter.. Little stiff at first, but worked its way right in, and now its really smooth.

Autospot---- $95.00 is pretty cheap, so just remember you get what you pay for....

i think shifters get sloppy when the shifter bolts get loose. Check the bolts...

I picked it up from ebay last night , guess ill give it a go. I can always pull it out if it is shitty . The biggest reason im puttng it in is the bushings are worn in my factory shifter . It will probably at least half that much for the new bushings.

I like the Pettit being that it shortens it by something like 50%

I spoke with the Jeff at Pettit and he said that only difference with b&m(?) short shifter and stock is a shorter shaft above the ball joint... If you check out robinett's site. He just cuts down the shaft and installs a new ****.

I fact that's what I did.

I was at the MazdaTrix web site the other day looking at their shifter. They claim it shortens the throw from 6" to 3.5" . Looks pretty good. Changes the fulcrum point. Tom

I like my B&M. It has springs from side to side and is very solid. It is the only one that replaces the alu top shift tower that I know of.
