Going crazy!!! Anyone have input?

I have this bad knocking around noise while drving my car, mostly on the freeway so I decided to investigate and it turns out that it is my exhaust banging on my differential. Anybody ever experience this? What have you done to fix it?

I did pull my exhaust over a bit to where it wasn't so close but it only lasted a few miles.

Any input?????

Thanks

Without pictures it doesn't sound complicated. How about getting a big pair of channel locks or something and bending the hanger to get a little more clearance?

I know the the 3.5" greddy exhaust has always had a problem with hitting the diff and making noise when driving. But like someone above said, nothing bending the hangers wont usually fix. Also look closely and see if all the hangers are even hooked into place properly.

could just fab another hanger to pull it to where you want. when i put my new bumper on i ended up chopping off the stock hangers and making new ones its a bit of a pain in the butt. that said custom work will generally give you the better result when compaired to just rigging something up with the stock system

That's not possible. have to commute to work. It is actually the freeway I drive on, it sucks. No other freeway does it.

Check the clearances when the system is hot. Stainless (and even mild in some cases) steel expands enough to move the end of the exhaust up to an inch from where it is cold. If the interference happens after you've been driving a while, I'll bet that's contributing to the problem.
