im going to check out and possibly buy an FD this weekend, and the seller (doesnt know much about the car) said he had a small shop install a reman for him and now the gauge cluster doesnt work... seems a little strange to me, but i was wondering if there is anything in the engine bay or something simple i could reconnect when i go to check out this car to make sure that the gauge cluster works..

Are you sure none of the gauges work? Speedo, tach, or did he say it all is dead?

 

check the fusebox...

edit: the cockpit fuse box, not the engine bay fuse box

 

yeah he said the whole cluster is dead. i was thinking maybe a blown fuse, but i'm used to mechanical speedo/odo from FC's so i wasnt really sure.

so the gauge cluster is not mechanical at all, and all electrical? single fused down in the cockpit fuse box.

 

goi nto try to pick this thing up tomorrow, wish me luck
