going from 850cc prims to 550-650cc

So I am having problems with these 850 injectors.I would like to go back to 550 or even a 650cc but the thing is I bought a whole fuel systems the came with the kgparts fuel rails. The problem is that I need to get the aluminium rings out of the engine block ..but damn those lil fu..kers are hard to get out. I dont want to drill them out due because of debris that might get in the block. So I may be stuck with a top feed injector. Now I would like to find a 550cc or 650cc top feed injector to fit into the primary fuel rail. Any suggestions ? thx

2nd gen Turbo Rx-7 injectors are 550cc top feeds. However they are not bosch style injectors; there are minor differences. They probably won't work. Just go back to a stock primary rail/injectors and weld on -6an male adapters..

kru510 since your PIM voltage is not changing when you start the car (staying at 2.6v), your map sensor is not adjusting for vacuum. This means it's just dumping fuel. The ecu thinks it's at 0 boost at all times. This also means it's not adding enough fuel under boost. Once you get your map sensor sorted out, your 850's will idle much leaner and you will stop flooding the engine. You will also probably need to raise the cranking ms back to where it was.

I bet its with the tune, not the injectors. The larger top feed primaries can be difficult to tune but we have a bunch of street cars running around with them with very good idles. You can also go to a 760cc top feed primary that will drop right in.

The 2nd gen top feeds are Denso injectors. Denso injectors have a smaller diameter o-ring at the top compared to Bosch top feeds.

Its not the tune or the injectors, since your pim voltage doesn't change it's obviously something with the map sensor. No question about it.
