God SPeed Universal Fans , OR OEM?

Hi , I'm building my car up from a shell , and sourcing parts I need . one is the fans Godspeed is selling this little Fan Set https://www.rx7club.com/vendor-classifieds-276/godspeed-project-14-slim-fan-special-969628/

for what seems like a decent price . and I can get an OEM for a better price . I will have the power FC to make the fans turn on sooner .

Now apart from the lack of a bracket that the OEM fans come with . Will the godspeed fans work the same as the OEM fans if I wired them to the fan plugs? or would I need to do some other modification ?

and if you have upgraded to these universal fans would you recommend it?

I think someone did a comparison of OEM vs aftermarket fans a long time ago and the aftermarket fans couldn't hold a candle to OEM as far as how much air was moved though the radiator.

Did a bunch of research on this just the other day. OEM flows more than 2700 CFM. Most others don't flow anywhere close until you get into the extremely expensive ones. And no slim fit ones flow as well.

Goodfellas understands what OEM means.
What he doesn't understand is why you would feel the need to replace a highly regarded stock fan system with ebay crap.

What I want to know is....

Why does the OP keep making new threads on topics that have been discussed in the past in great detail.

He had been here for less than two months and has started no less than 26 new threads (not counting the ones on the classified section.)

It is starting to annoy me. (not that it should matter to anyone else)

hold my hand type questions keeps engines from blowing up. and most of the threads I made I search first and if I dont find my specific answer I would rather annoy you by making a semi redundant question then not ask . and risk getting something catastrophically wrong sorry if my logic .. seems to sit wrong with you .

I know redundant questions can be annoying . But Its not like i do it because i like to annoy people.

Well I am somebody too, maybe you should start searching for your answers from now on. Rather than making new threads.

There, the problem is solved, OP will search from now on.

I apologize , but I'm not on here for your enjoyment. I'm here to help when I can , and receive help when Needed .. if it really bothers you so much stop reading my threads no one has forced you to. there is no rule that says you must read every thread written and stop posting unrelated material. on my threads please

I've never had rotary , never built a car from scratch , never even owned a turbo car ...

The FD is notorious for overheating . and I was told the OEM fans were one of the issues .. so I looked into the godspeed fans .. it wasnt such a difficult question .. it was a simple hey dont do that its a bad idea the OEM fans are great .!

DONE! thread closed question . direct and simple.. the fact that you just felt the need to troll it makes you just as bad as me for not searching . ALSO https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...=godspeed+fans <-- the only thread that comes up on the 3rd gen specific forums reguarding anything godspeed ... your point is mute.

if it comes between annoying a couple people and being absolutely sure about something that will help me protect my car I'm sorry but i'm going to be annoying .

I've never had rotary , never built a car from scratch , never even owned a turbo car ... I can understand it can be frustrating and you are looking for quick answers

The FD is notorious for overheating . and I was told the OEM fans were one of the issues .. so I looked into the godspeed fans .. it wasnt such a difficult question .. it was a simple hey dont do that its a bad idea the OEM fans are great .! Not for nothing but why is the first brand of fans you look into; the cheapest if you are concerned about reliability. That does not make sense to me.

DONE! thread closed question . direct and simple.. the fact that you just felt the need to troll it makes you just as bad as me for not searching . ALSO https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...=godspeed+fans <-- the only thread that comes up on the 3rd gen specific forums reguarding anything godspeed ... your point is mute.Insted of searching for just godspeed fans why not research the stock fan performance? It would yield the same answer in the end.

if it comes between annoying a couple people and being absolutely sure about something that will help me protect my car I'm sorry but i'm going to be annoying . I agree with that, It is definately better to ask questions and get an answer than to blow a motor. But, If some one pokes fun of you, dont get upset.
I can understand if you make one or two threads that are on topics that are already dicussed but you have about 20... 20 in two months. That IMHO is not right. You should learn to search, if you dont get the answers you are looking for than use more than one set of key words. You will find out that you can get an answer a lot quicker because you dont have to wait for replys.

Also, You reading Goodfellas name wrong.... I can understand that, I sometimes read a word wrong as well.

OK just to clear up the clutter in this thread after building up my own FD and others can attest to this you will find no other set of fans that operate better or last longer then then the OEM dual fans. that and as you have found out is cheaper to maintain and replace if needed. I still have the original OEM fans I'm my 93' and the PFC is set at 89 deg and with a 4 core aluminum radiator. you will hardly ever hit that temp unless sitting at idol for long periods of time.
So my suggestion to you building one from the ground up is save your money where you can because you will spend it other places for sure. Especially with this car.
Some say money can't buy happiness but I say happiness isn't cheap!

And for the rest of you I do respect the knowledge you have all instilled in me with the answers I have SEARCHED FOR. And had answered, but it takes more effort to scrutinize a question then it does to answer one regardless of the question. Unless you are a moderator and have to deal with deleting threads that have been covered, you wasted everyone else's time by complaining instead of answering the question at hand however simple it my be.

Thanks for that, been wondering what that stands for for years. Now if somebody can just explain 'boost creep' to me

I have a few friendly suggestions for you:

(1) Refine your search skills and really try to search before starting dozens of redundant threads.

(2 Refine your reading comprehension skills and really try and understand what it is you're reading before posting.

This is a great forum full of wonderful information that has been covered many many times over the years. The average user in this section is very well-informed and they tend to get aggravated with noobs that clutter up the section with unneeded posts.

Just some friendly suggestions and food for thought
