I think this is a symptom of a clogged main cat.

upon warm up, the airpump, pumps alot of air. The extra oxygen helps burn the extra gas being spent (since these cars run extra rich when still cold). This will cause the DP to sometimes glow at idle.

I have no cat and I know when I start my car up it glows red or when I drive spirited.

My thoughts

It very well may be normal to some degree. I also know if you are running lean on the fuel mixture things tend to get hotter as well. (SPIRITED DRIVING) I would guess in your case it may be a bit of both. Of coure this is pure speculation as I would have to know all of your mods ect. to make a educated guess.

did you change your pills. You may be running too much boost, causing
your engine to run lean and hot
