getting dyno tuned, will it help?

My mods are in my profile. I had all these professionaly installed and my power FC was programmed with basemaps and taken on the road with a wideband. after getting my new injectors, Mid Pipe and fuel pump, my trap went down slightly at the track, my ET remained about the same., my gas mileage dropped to around high 13's per gallon. Also, everyone else I know that has a mid pipe has a loud car. My mid pipe makes no more noise than my high flow cat did.

Will dyno tuning help my problem? I'm taking it next week, but want some opinions.

before installing my midpipe, fuel pump and injectors I had it dynoed at 266 HP, 240 TQ. oh yea and compression is good.

Question

Who is doing the dyno tuning? I would most definitely have them utilize a datalogit, or it's not worth it in my opinion.

Ah, Mr. SCC. Don't know much about his tuning abilities, but he sure can write a kickass articla about the FD .

Dave at KD Rotary tuned me from 7 psi up to 15 psi with a datalogit and a wideband at low 11 a/f's on boost. He said the datalogit made it *much* easier to tune the Power FC. If Shiv doesn't have one, rx7.com has them for $299. Money well spent when it comes to tuning your baby.

Might be an ignition issue. Plugs, wires, coils. It might be just that you're running insanely rich. I'd pull the rear rotor plugs (easiest to get to) and examine them.

You don't know how to do your own plugs? Wowzers...PM me if you like; I can tell you how over the phone. It's some know-how that every FD owner should possess....

I would think if tuning didn't fix the problem it would at least give you a better idea of what the problem is. Like Goodfella has said as long as the tuner knows what he is doing, he or she will most likely be able to help fix, solve, or tell you what the problem is after testing. Good luck. And I hope you get the problem sorted out and fixed. It would be great to have another properly tuned seven out on the road. And I am sure it would make you feel better.
