AS long as you do not boost over 12 psi there is no need for extra fuel computers. If the mods you do take it over that then yes. It all depends on what you are doing. As far as I know is that if you just get a down pipe and keep you cat you should be ok. But it all comes down to how much boost you will be running.

You'll probably need to get a new ECU later down the road anyway, so just bite the bullet and get one. If you put something else like an upgraded intake, intercooler, or radiator on your car, you're gonna be runnin' very lean and that's NOT good.

without question the Apex Power FC. just search this forum, and read up on it. It is no contest, unless you have a full blown race car then you might get something different, but otherwise it is the absolute best. Reasonably priced too. I love mine, my car drives so much better it is ridiculous. now if only someone would hack teh programme for data logging I wil lbe set.

It is a fully programable new ECU. replaces stock adn plugs into existing wire harness. Beuty is it costs only like 100$ more than some reprogrammed ECUs, adn for 300$ more you can get the commander so you can monitor and adjust everythign for each mod.

This is just my experience and it seems to follow what I have heard from most. I installed my downpipe about 2 months ago and love it. I did have to do some tuning to the boost control right away. I was aware of the possibility of a over boost condition, so I was very careful and watched the boost closely on the first trial. With the stock pills I was seeing about 12psi with a small spike at change over. I've heard of people running this with stock computer but I drive my car every day so I used holley jets to tune my boost. I think I have a 69 in my pre-control line and a 72 in the waste gate. I have 10-8-10 now. I had thought about raising it but better safe then sorry until I gather the money for a computer.

Its a round piece of pipe how in the hell can one be better than the other if they are the same diameter pipe! Just think hum, do I want stainless steel or just mild steel. I was a bit pissed off after paying just over 200 for a mild steel DP and then seeing rx7store having a special on a stainless for 199. But save money on the DP and spend it on: computer, mid pipe, cat back, intake,...?!

Don't know what is best. I have a RX7.com Bonez SS dp that cost me $390. I'm going single turbo so it's not needed. About 2k miles on it. It's at KDR. Make me a fair offer and it's your's. Can be shipped out after 10-2-01.

I've got the N-tech SS dp. Very nice!! It's cheaper than most dp and very well constructed.

They're all pretty much the same..its just plumbing anyway.
