Getting the car ready for summer at the track

The car has been sitting in the garage for about a year now with one track day (Buttonwillow) and about 20 runs to Starbucks.
I was going to pop onto Tirerack and order up some new stuff for the car but I've run into a problem. It looks like the selection has diminished greatly for FD stuff. I wanted to get a new set of wider wheels but there is VERY few 17' wheels available on the rack and nothing over 9 inches wide. I was looking to get 10 rear and 9 front. The Yokohama AO32R tires it looks like no longer come in a 275/40 17 or anything wider than a 255???? Nect was the brake pads. Most of the pads they once had seem to be gone?
If anyone has a sugestion as to where I can get some of this stuff I'd be interested

Thanks. I've looked at the first link before but they only have a bunch of MS wheels. What ever happened to the SSR comp wheels that used to be on tire rack?

They have some SSR's listed. SSR filed for bankruptcy last year. Apparently, they were bought by Tanabe but no word on wheel manufacturing or what is available. You might call Tirerack and see what they have.

Rishie (AutoRND) has many track capable wheels for the RD. Just call and talk to him about what you need and how much you want to spend.

I'll call him up thanks. Does he have a direct # or should I use the web site?

Just use the website number. Rishie is great to work with... My current set of aftermarket wheels were purchased from him and my track rims next year will be as well.

Rishie can do tires as well, but I went through Tirerack for tires.

you have to look at the wheels by brand on the side. they have volk, advan, work, etc. they just do not show up as specific wheels for the fd.

You can get a set of CCWs in those sizes. I have a friend that runs 17x9 front and 17x10 rear with V700s 255 and 275 respectively.

I spoke to Jim @ tire rack yesterday. He says that SSR has limited stuff going out now and more should be comming in the future. He also stated that Yokohama is fazing out the AO32R and currently the AO32 and the AO48 do not come in the size I want. The Michelin sport cups come in that size, however they are $75 more per tire!!!! Thanks Yoko!!
