With some nice DR, or slicks I think the Rikki man should break into the 11's. Infact I'm sure he well, how far he pushes it, I don't know.
Get to the track man!

Yeah after analyzing Ryan's comments and looking at the everything I think it'll dyno basically the same on Dave's dyno, unless Peter added some fuel after the dyno run for safety margin, which I don't think he did. Basically its a tight motor, with an aggressive street port and all the bolt-ons, and very aggressive tuning. It can be done, but no one else wants to risk blowing the motor on that hot day with the not-so-great tank of gas so they tune rich. I have no doubt that Peter is capable of building or tuning a motor to put out maximum power, no one has ever accused him of being incompetant. After Peter rebuilds Ryan's engine for free don't you expect him to say good things? Anyone would do this. What would Ryan care what else Peter has done, he built him a free engine! Once someone does something like that for you the rest is just talk. Obviously the people Peter treats well will say nice things about him and the people he treats like trash will say bad things about him, duh people!

if what gmonson said is true then rikkis car is gonna be DOG SLOW in the low end....non seq and a huge port...that wont be very streetable and is not my thing...i wouldnt care if he ran 430hp if his power doesnt hit until well after 5k. nasty laggy turbos and no low end from the port would be a stinker here on the streets of LA.

timeslips time...lets see em soon...and the dyno at kdr...that would be huge!

You guys are a show!!
We all talk about your posts at the shop over at Peters and get a good kick out of it. Ryan has not really stated all the factors here but his car is still running rich and is not going to pop anytime soon.
Thanks for the laughs all...

black99 do you even still have a rx7??

Anyhow I woudln't trust you focks to pay for the dyno either. Why dont' you all make arrangements and show up on the day of the event?? I would love to meet some of you guys in person!!! Really I would......

I think you would enjoy meeting me also. What do ya say???

Ryan no need for two threads on this man..
See ya tomorrow early .

And this matters because....

You questioned why I jumped on your case in the other post, it's because of stupid comments like that. That means nothing to relevence of this thread.

The fact is I might not have have my old rx7, but I might have another one. Or I could not. I could have a 3 rotor rx7 on the way, or I could have a Viper for that matter, you don't know what I have because I usually don't tell everyone what I got.

Alot of people don't tell what they got and if I had another rotary powered vehicle there is enough info in the archives of this site to help me with most problems I'd ever have with it without even having to give you a clue as to what I have.

WTF does it matter if I still have an rx7 again? Some unspoken rule that says once you sell your car you have to leave and have no interest in rx7's? Isn't the fact that I had a FD enough? Please someone else tell me if I should leave because I no longer own my old 7..

Last I heard, Peter reads the forum. So he has read this thread. Maybe it's time he posted on this topic.

I know there are many listeners that would like to hear from a GREAT rotary person.

I don't think most of us care about his past mistakes. We just want to move on and do the best for our much maligned rotaries.

just so ya know rikki...ive driven a car like that...ridden in a few non seq cars...and raced a couple as well (beat'em)...though the kick when the power does come online is nice on the non seq/streetport, I have a habitual tendency to enjoy the low end stuff. thus, waiting for the power band is no fun for me...

Like i said...I have a large streetport from one of the best engine builders on the west coast. my power was strong as hell up the middle and up high before i went with the m2 setup. now at least its a little more balanced.

for me...its all about the response...thats why i love the fd...thats why i did not get a supra a few years back...thats why i went with the lighter car.

while the numbers are fantastic on your car...I dont enjoy driving cars like that on the street as much as i do cars with great response. If i wanted that kind of laggy bogging low end i would have gone with a t78 and been done with it...at least the kick then would be pure rX-tacy. hehehe

why don't you all just dyno the car at KDR or some other place and be done with it? Make it a special dyno day or something and then have a couple witnesses. That way DBAR won't have to say anything more if he has several people at the dyno because he will have proven that 350rwhp on 11psi is entirely possible.
