TX Get the most out of stock twins

I was just curios about how can you get the most out of the stock twins or the 99 spec turbos. and what numbers could i possibly be looking at with proper tune and bolt ons. Any suggestions?

That is not typical though and I would not look to do that on stock twins. ~300hp is typically the number before people upgrade the turbo system.

With supporting mods and 14-15 psi the car should easily be 330whp+ with a safe tune.

Good info, I am really considering upgrading to 99 spec turbos and this thread has sealed the deal.

Ya keep the stock turbos or upgrade to bnrs sequential or single turbo. 99s would be a waste of money imo

I've heard of at least one other guy going 400+ and breaking 11 with stock twins as well, maybe 5 or 6 years ago on here. I wonder what the most is while keeping the twins sequential? Honestly that was the setup that I thought was the most fun in my car....Just the plain sequential turbo setup but maxed out.

I had non-seq, then bnr stage 2, then a big single and I thought the plain old seq setup was the most fun to drive. I liked the feeling of the second turbo coming on and really taking off high in the rpm range

I did 11.19 @ 123.80 with the stock sequential twins and stock motor, on the dyno at that time it only made 342 hp. Stock sequential maxed out was nice and fun to drive.

There is a set of 99 spec turbos for sale locally for $500, thought it was a good cheap upgrade. Not looking to build a fast FD, already have a 600hp R32 GTR. Just want something fun to drive.

Are 99 specs worth it for $500?

Not many used turbos are remotely comparable to new ones. Condition, condition, condition
