Gen 3 boost problem

Ok, so I did a search on this an couldn't really get a definite answer. I just got a boost gauge installed on my gen 3 (only mods are downpipe and catback), and I noticed that when I get past 5500 rpm the boost on the secondary will drop down to 8 psi. the boost patter is pretty much good, I get the 10-8-10 at about 4500 rpm, but after about 5500 it boost drops back down to 8. I was just reading on Steve Cirian's website, and he says that the boost should drop to about 8 after 6000 rpm. is this true or do you guys think I have a boost leak. never noticed this before but honestly had never been looking, was always looking for the 10-8-10 before to make sure I'm not overboosting.
