your stereo opening....rx-7s have a double din opening, whats why it will have a little pocket or peice of plastic there when you buy an aftermarket stereo

Din is the opeing in the dash for a stereo, or the little opening below the stereo.

A Din is the opening for a standard stereo. The Rx7 has two Din openings. I think it is about 2" wide. The reason I am asking is becasue this would be a perfect place for it.

Sorry about the pics, its hosted by freepichosting.com.
It "should" fit there. The height of the unit is 1 1/2" (an a hair) so it should fit in the 2 inch din.

DIN is short for "Deutsche Industrie Normung" or "German Industry Standard" in English. DIN is a German organization that establishes standards for industry, obviously. In this case, we're talking about the dimensions and mounting standards for a car stereo or accessory.

If someone was going to use one of their DIN openings for the stereo and dont like the look of the device, you can get a piece of smoked plastic and attach it against the lcd (providing no adjusting will need to be done to the unit) to hide the housing and just show the numbers. just my 2 cents.

Good idea, once adjusted the unit normally doesnt need to be touched again unless for whatever reason you dont want it cycling every 5 seconds but instead 7. Or if you want to do it manually you would have to make a small hole for the button to stick out of.

Fatman, does this device have any warning features or the option of such that we could use so that we are not always looking at it and praying?

I buzzer would probably be best because a blinking light can be missed easily. Something that can be set in he safe zone to let you know that you are getting close.

yes, if possible. i would almost be willing to pay a little more if it would do that, if possible..... that would be a big help, that way you dont have to wait for them to all cycle through and figure out which one is high/low

I just thought of THE PERFECT place to mount it (for those with/doing/wanting to do the AC switch relocation) Put it where you would put the guages where your AC switches are stock. This wouldnt be that hard to do. you see people with different setups on their guages like this, so why not put this there? makes the most sense. It's facing toward you, it hides all sides except the front, it hides all the wires in the dash and it would look closer to stock.

Ok well while I was at work I looked up the price of the alarm and/or flashing light one and it would be to pricey and not worth it.
