Talking Gauging Interest: Custom FD Vented Hood!

MODS = PLEASE PLEASE don't delete this. This is a VERY functional hood that I think a LOT of FD owners would consider running so Please provide them with a chance to look at this thread. Thanks!

Hey Guys,

A vendor on this forum, Shinautoproject, has agreed to consider making a completely custom hood for our FD's. Basically he needs to know that people are actually interested before even attempting a project of this sort, so I'm posting this thread in every forum FD owners will possibly look. If you have any interest at ALL please express it within the following link:

https://www.rx7club.com/group-buy-center-69/gauging-interest-custom-fd-vented-hood-573880/

Here's a couple pictures of the hood I have in mind that I've asked Ken to make:

The ONLY changes I've asked Ken to make/consider are to NOT add the louvers that are pictured on the hood, but instead add the small vents that are on the N1 hood or the Knightsports Hood located at the back of the hood where its mounted to the car. Simply one vent on each side PLUS the huge vent in the middle. Please post in the link provided above if you have any interest in seeing this made. Thanks in advance.

Reminds me of a NSX hood but bump for v-mount users that may benefit from this hood.

would be to nice to see some original products - rather than the continual theft of other companies designs.

Not just that, but you guys better get your act together. Vendors have rules, as do the forum sections and their respective subsections. GROUP BUY INTEREST THREADS GO IN THE GROUP BUY INTEREST SECTION. If you (or others) keep on posting these threads in the 3rd Gen section and For Sale section, action will be taken. You guys need to respect the forum rules like EVERYONE else, no excuses. And the even MORE rediculous part is, you're posting "Gauging Interest" threads when Shine already has their OWN vendor section, WHICH IS WHAT THAT VENDOR SECTION IS SPECIFICALLY FOR. You're treading on VERY thin ice.

My apologies. I didn't think people would get so upset about this. I only posted in different sections because I figured it would be the best way to get the "word out," realizing that all FD owners don't visit every subsection. Mods you can go ahead and delete this thread if you find it necessarry. Again I apologize.

Sorry man. BTW- I don't think its crap and judging by the interest already gathered so far a lot of other people would agree with me.

It's not a matter of upset; it's that when you have a bunch of people following the rules (myself included) then one vendor is having people post group buy interest threads ALL over the forum (ie breaking the forum rules), and it's obvious that many people have a problem w/ it, but no one's taking the hint...it eventually gets to ya. The rules are in place for a reason, one of which is organization, and the other is liability. So it's not random. As such, we'd hope that the rules would be followed, again *especially* when the vendor has their own vendor section. If people don't visit that section often, that doesn't suddenly allow the vendor to break the rules, ya know?

Oh and I'm not being specific or partial here; I've jumped on ppl for blatantly disregarding the rules many a time.

I can't speak for him, but I think that there are other underlying issues behind that comment...I know I've heard quite a few of them from many forum members

I understand. I just want everyone to know the vendor in this particular case has nothing to do with me posting this thread in multiple sections. I used my own misguided judgement and thats why I'm apologizing. Mod/Admins please understand that. I'll be sure to be a lot more cautious next time. Sorry again.

I think I know what you're referring to, but I believe in this particular case they would be creating a custom hood. Obviously taking cues from the hood pictured above, but not using it as a mold and replicating.

BTW- Ramy, PLEASE PLEASE let me know whenever you get a chance as to when I would be able to place my order with you? I really don't want to miss the next shipment . Thanks.
