Gauges quit working...

Out of the blue, all my stock gauges quit working. Oil Pressure, fuel and temp all point straight up. The tach and the speedo both read zero. When I turn the steering wheel, the gauges start to move. If I shut off the car for a while and turn it back on, they will work shortly. I checked for any loose wires around the steering column area and found none. Im trying to get ideas before I pull the cluster and break the hood again...

On a side note, does anyone know the best place to get a cooling fan motor? MY drivers side fan motor died...

Thanks guys and Happy Veterans day from a Marine to any other service members.

if you say "before I pull the cluster and break the hood again..." means you've previously pulled it. Therefore I am sure your connections in the back is not snap on there tightly. Give that a try and see what you find =)

Call up Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda at 888 533 3400 for the cooling fan and anything else you might need. He owns an FD so will get you the right part, and he offers great club discounts

Hit the nail on the head. I had the cluster out fixing my speedo diode a few weeks ago. I was just being lazy yesterday not doing that first. Ill pull it out today and double check all the connections.

Thanks guys!
