Instead of the tri power dual gauge pod, take a look at Fly rx7's gauge pods. They are amazing pods built with quality in mind. The whole forum stands behind these pods. Take a look.

I have one I bought before Christmas, have yet to install (to busy). I'll be sure to take pics of the install process. I'm moving from a 2 pod A pillar setup to this, along with replacing my Autometer guages with Defi boost and water temp guages.

I have had the tri-power and now I have franks center channel pod. I only heard bad things about the tri-power like it was prone to melting. IMHO franks pod looks alot better as well, no regrets here to switching.

I dont like the dash pods. It looks like macaroni or headers coming from the dash. I like the look of a-pillar pods but not the functionality on an FD. I think i might put guages in the DIN below my reciever.

I've had the Tripower for well over a year now - looks as good as the day I bought it. They might have upgraded the plastic or something over earlier versions. It's held up great in the summer heat.

I constantly get compliments on it - most are people thinking the gauges are stock! That's how clean looking it is.

BTW, here's my review of the Tripower pod I wrote back when I got it -

DMoney, I wouldn't recommend gauges under the stereo. You really need to have them where you can look at them without bigtime taking your eyes off the road. There's also the steering column mount for one gauge as well - that is a pretty clean setup. A-pillar pods aren't super clean IMHO, but it's a great place for gauges, easy to read and view.

Ive had the tripower on my car for over a year now as well. I love it. Looks great, has great visibility, and it has held up just fine so far. I recommend them.

But I have heard that Frank's pods are supposed to be nicer, I just dont have the money for the extra gauge at the moment...

Ya i know thats not the best place but i just dont like the look of the dash guages. I dont like the steering column guage because it takes away from the sleekness of the stock guages. I think i would probably go with the a pillar pod.

Haha, those are the two pods that I have. I love them both. Just goes to show that everybody has their own taste...

Ya. Everyone does. Now if the dash guages were flat on the top and were like squared off, i would purchase those. Kinda like these
Well they actually sell these for the FD but they cost to much.
