well i pulled the cooling fan fuse 60A, still blows meter fuse
so this eliminates all cooling fan possibility
so now,
Should I unplug the gauge cluster? What else should I unplug to see if its the short? What order

ok removed the entire gauge cluster
reset battery
removed every fuse from the fuse box in the front and installed them all back in.....the meter fuse will not blow until I install the Ignition switch 40 amp fuse what does this mean?

You have a short. trace the ignition wires from the fuse panel outward. (any wire that is sourced by the fuse that keeps popping.
DO NOT put a larger fuse in. this will most likely cause damage. the burny fire smoky type.
you can also use a multimeter to check for continuity between the chassis and different leads from the ignition source.
Chances are, you have a wire that was ran against something and wore through to the metal, popping your fuses.
Kittah is in yer carz, poppin yer fuze

Have not added any electrical mods lately at all. Only thing I did recently was plug in a fan relay that had been unplugged forever. Worked Fine....to test this I unplugged all 4 relays and pulled the 60Amp Fan Fuse on the Small Box. Still Popped it
I have a profec b spec II hooked up via ground to the chasis bolt and power wrapped around a fuse in the fuse box along with 2 gauges and the wideband. This fuse does not blow and will not affect anything if i PUll it out to disengage all the installed electronics.
I have a headunit wired into the stock bose wiring.. I pulled it out and straightened all wires to make sure that they were not touching metal of any kind or rubbing into each other.
I pulled the center console and disengaged my fan mod switch along with my Rear Defroster
I removed the Gauge cluster which disengaged Cruise Control and all gauges plus headlight retractors.
Whats weird is the wiring diagram explains that the Mirrors and tail lights are a part of this however they all work. Only non functional things Are:
- Gauges Panel
- Cannot turn A/C on / off have to pull the relay (what the ****)...cabin fan works, heater switch works
- Turn signals down but hazard works WTF
Gave up this morning and took it in to a shop. Any ideas that I can relay to the shop please submit!
