gas in my oil???

so i went to start my car at my friends where its in storage (im from toronto where we dont have the luxury of drivin an fd all year round). it wouldnt start, just like the day before. the car was runnin like 2-3 weeks ago. we needed to move my car so we pushed it outside in the sun (i was hoping it would maybe warm the engine up abit????, cold wind but warm in the sun) well i tried a couple more times but gave up. when we went to push it back in the barn we noticed some brown stuff leaking from under my car???? when we smelled it all we could smell was gas, but it looked and felt like oil???? didnt have time to look at where it was coming from. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

It's common for the oil to smell a little like gas.

I would be sure to source the leak and be sure it's an oil leak and not a fuel leak before starting the car again. Injectors, FPD, FPR, etc.

I'm just saying, if you smell fuel more than just when you put the oily finger near your nose, it's something to investigate. Too many injector leaks and FPD leaks have led to a totalling engine fire.

sayin that you could not start it...flooded..oil that smells like gas severely flooded...check the oil on the dip stick ..the level..and smell it..smell like gas?..get the excess fuel out of the rotor housings by taking the plugs out, removing the EGI fuse and rolling the engine over 30 seconds ..put a milkshake straw of oil in lower plug holes.roll engine over3 seconds ..replace the plugs and EGI fuse..NOW ..before you start the car CHANGE THE OIL AND FILTER(if you found gas in the oil)..should start ..good luck

the stock ecu cuts all fuel when you floor it durring starting. So you can try to turn it over floored for about 15 sec'c at a time like 4 or 5 times.

oh RXHEAVEN..FORGOT TO MENTION..CLEAN THE PLUGS,BEFORE REINSTALLING THEM..please don't start the engine with gas in the oil..change it...and WOT when you roll the engine over 30 sec..the reason for takin plugs out besides cleaning them(and rolling engine over, plugs out).excess fuel will come out the plug holes too and ALL of it won't go into your exhaust system....and Smiths Falls ..nice?..I must live on "the other side of town"...(it bites..lol)..hershey bars, tool boxes and drug addicts..great if you're a crack head mechanic with a sweet tooth!!

Fuel pulsation dampener= FPD The little rubber tit tends to break off when it's old and then proceeds to leak from that area.

Just search for it. Or look in the FAQ. Or look in the FSM.
