Gas level issues

So I am looking for some answers about my gas gauge getting stuck I have already replaced the fuel level sensor I bought a new one from the factory and everything is working as far as the sensor goes I tested it out of the tank and it reads the gauge moves to where I hold the float at however once I install it back into the tank and get gas it will mark full but then get stuck between 3/4s and a 1/2 a tank.... The float isn't getting stuck and the gauge is working other than getting stuck and the low fuel orange light doesn't come on either.... Anyone have any ideas on what the next step I should take ?

I also had a spare cluster laying a around I swapped that out and still marked the same.... I'm out of ideas !!!

Thanks!

honestly sounds like the level is somehow getting stuck on something . or its bent in a way that wont let it go lower then 1/2 tank . but that honestly sounds far fetched .

Ok here try this .. I just remembered something sometimes my level would get stuck on the plastic itself , remove it and see if you get full range of motion or if it got stuck while installing . and

Not unknown for the metal baffle on the roof of an FD tank to break - might be worthwhile checking all spot welds are holding.

Try to take another good look down into the tank to see if there are any obstructions where the float travels. Be careful using a flashlight if fuel is in the tank.

Same procedure as the odometer repair. Just look at the board and replace whatever looks suspect. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...220&styleid=17
