Gas flap panel thing wont open, Please help!

When i pull the lever to the side nothing happens. I tried taking everything i could apart, but i couldnt figure it out. I need advice on how this thing works or how to fix it. Please help.

Is it connecting to the cable it should be. Does your trunk work right? Push down and to the passenger side.

There is a spring that is supposed to push the cover open, and it might not be working (the cable does not make the cover open, only releases it so the spring can open it). Try having someone pull the lever while you pull the cover open. If it opens then the cable is fine. The spring may be bent, broken, or maybe fallen off. In my case, I just needed to bend the spring a little (I think I pulled it towards me a bit).

well, thanks for your help guys but i just ended up taking the whole damn car apart practiacally. I went from behind and pulled directly on the cord. the little pin thing was kinda jammed and thats why it wouldnt open. Anyways, it works now, so its good.
