Question Galloping 7...

Mine likes to jump/lurch/gallop at the start of a roll... not even under hard acceleration but more on regular driving. I've already replaced the ENTIRE REAR SUSPENSION!!! So I'm guessing my motor mounts are bad... anyone else had this before? PPF is crackless as of 3 weeks ago.
TIA,
Ryker

check to see if you can move the engine using your hands...in other words, grab the UIM engine hoist bracket and the other hoist bracket by the alternator, and then just pull/push back and forth....if you can sway the engine easily then you probably have broken mounts....this extended 'free-play' makes the drive train so sloppy that it 'bounces' or bucks like you mentioned

I can move mine about an inch pushing and pulling in either direction and im only 135 lbs, ...im sure mine are done and will be making some soon...

Hey we should both do the motor mounts that were posted just a little bit ago... hopfully will be much stiffer... I'm also thinking about doing my own engine brace to save some $....hmmm I guess I need to find a old set of brackets that are gonna get tossed so I can slap some new ones on there then just put them right in! maybe we can get a group buy going on....

yeah, that is my plan, i already have the mcmaster polyurethane bar in my garage :-)

be careful with doing the motor mounts AND engine brace combo...it may become too sitff, too much vibration...from what I gathered, stock motor mounts (soft) with the engine brace is pretty good, OR just harder urethane motor mounts is good, but harder mounts and engine brace is to much for the street (but probably very desirable for the track)...

just my observations, i have no data other than posts to back this up
