funky gauge behavior

I just installed an engine I bought from Jspec in an FD with a blown motor.

It has a 62-1 single, G-force ECU, SX FPR, some fuel pump, and some other goodies. A Super AFC is controlling fuel and MSD 6A helps with ignition.

My intention is to get the car running until I buy a Haltech system (waiting on next gen.). If worst comes to worst, I'll use the E6K out of my FC.

Anyways, the car took some time to start (cold and sitting for some months). It kept dying and BDC helped me set the idle. It has a high idle, but it sounds good and the engine sound very healthy.

The LCD for mileage is displayed when in ACC mode. As soon as you start it, my oil pressure gauge shoots to 120psi and stays there when the car is on. The LCD disappears, my engine check light is ON, ABS check light is ON, no tachometer, no speedometer. I drove around my neighborhood and to the store, but no tach and no speedo. It seems to run fine with no boost. The acceleration flattens out when you give it a bit of pedal.

No apparent leaks. However, you can hear the bubbles from the coolant after you run it for some time without the AST (I'll have to put one back in the car).

I looked over the schematics and I'm sure I have the oil pressure and water thermo hooked up correctly.

I figured that the ignition harness has the tach hooked up to one of the trailing ignitors (like my FC).

Any ideas? Did I forget to hook up some wires?
The previous owner hacked up the ECU harness (near the kick panel in the passenger side). I hooked up all the wires to the AFC. I'm pretty sure I hooked up all the right connectors to the ECU (G-Force, reprogrammed).
