Full exhaust (DP+MP) with Apexi N1 ?
Anyone has this setup ?
I read some say it is too loud. What is too loud ? I.e. - you cant talk anymore in the cabin or something ? Does it only get too loud when you get on it or is it unbearable at idle already ?
Thanks!

As long as your mid pipe is resonated, and you have the silencers in, its not that bad. Loud...but not to bad imop. But if you have a non resonated mid pipe, and no silencers....its "Arrest me loud". Even with a resonated mid pipe and no silencers it pretty loud....but I think you could get by if you short shifted drove like a granny.
Hope this helps CJ

It's loud but not intolerable. I have the apexi gt spec exhaust with a regular midpipe. You can hear me coming from quite a ways away, but talking in the car is still not bad. Just make sure if you take longer trips that you either put in the silencer or be prepared to just have a droning sound stick in your head for a couple hours after.

Idle and cruising will be loud, full throttle on the 2nd turbo is VERY loud. Going non-sequential and removing the flapper door is CRAZY loud, even at idle. You'd be shocked how loud a 3rd gen can get!
The pop-in exhaust silencers are a mighty good idea, BTW. They take all the bite and drone out of the exhaust, which IMHO is VERY necessary for a long car trip. A few hours of droning exhaust not only will drive you nuts, but isn't very good on your eardrums over time!

i had dp, mp, dualtip N1, nonseq.
i would ask my dad to start the car and warm it up on winter mornings while i was showering. even silenced, when i was in the shower i couldnt hear it, but i could feel the rumble. when i drove it to my friends houses they could hear it from the basement.
at idle it wasnt too bad, at wot it sounded awesome, like a massive chainsaw cutting through metal. BUT at around 3k rpms. DAMN! that droning really made me deaf. that was my main problem, the droning on the highway is so annoying.
and i had NEVER taken the silencers out. with a cat its probably fine. mp is very loud. it sounds very scary and very cool at idle and when you blip the throttle or WOT, just the droning sucks.

Silencers are just those little siphons that you screw into the back of the muffler, right ?
I could live with those on the street, and take them off for the track

r0gu3 has a DP, MP, and Apexi N1 if my memory is correct. When I had my integra with Apexi exhaust I was issued a ticket for "excessively noisy muffler". Granted, it was a bogus ticket, but still that shows you how loud it was. r0gu3's 7 is more than 5x as loud as my integra was. You can hear it idling in the parking lot from inside the apt. You can hear him coming before you can even see him, and leaving is worse. Worst of all is when he romps it. I made the bad choice of having my window down right next to his car when he romped it on the highway. This wasnt just loud, it HURT. Begs to get a ticket. I'm surprised he hasnt gotten one yet.

Damn... a cop trap eh ?
Well, if it will be too loud I'll put on a hi-flow cat or something.
But I can already hear my car inside of house with what is has now.
