Fuel tank capacity?

What's the fuel tank capacity on our cars? I couldn't find it during a quick glance in the FSM and my car didn't have an owner's manual when I bought it in 99. After years of storage and not driving it, I've forgotten the fuel capacity. My gauge now reads 3/4 when filled, and I've been filling it at 1/4 which is ~10.5 gals burned. I've searched the internet and found 76L (20 gals) but I don't believe the tank is actually that big on such a small car designed to be light.

There's always an ~10% reserve for expansion. So you can't easily fill up that last 2 gallons.

Ppl...read your Owner's Manual. It can still be found here: http://www.wrex-racing.com/web/fd/info.htm It has all sorts of original documentation, manuals, etc (thank God, as iluvmyrx7.com is gone - and for good I think )

Also, it differs based on manual or auto. If I may quote a post from '02 (*nudge*search*nudge* lol) from here: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=76967:

I did search "fuel capacity" before posting and somehow didn't find anything. I also don't care that I missed a single thread from 2002 that answered my question. It's not n00btacular.

And I don't have an Owner's Manual ... my post says so. When I bought the car 8 years ago it was missing.

Thanks for the answers.

Relax. I wasn't trying to call you out. If I wanted to, I would My post wasn't meant to be hostile. If you think it is, man oh man, you must have not seen Jimlab in action back in the day

What got to me was that it took 10 posts (about half of which were from forum veterans) to get the exact answer.

Also, just my $0.02 about searching...it's not that the search function doesn't work well; it's that most ppl don't use it correctly. Searching shouldn't be done too specifically, or you'll narrow your search to the point that you miss many of the threads that you're trying to target. Try searching using different words that may be used to convey the same meaning, or even words that are bound to be included in a thread on that topic (ie "fuel tank" would have def brought up quite a few threads). Oh and don't forget to use the asterix (*) at the end of certain search keywords, as it'll help ya find those posts you'll otherwise skip over too.

I simply expected ppl to be able to find it, given that most of 'em have been on here longer than I have...and it took me all of what...3 seconds? That's just my $0.02, take it or leave it.

And I don't have an Owner's Manual ... my post says so. When I bought the car 8 years ago it was missing.
Which is why I posted up a link to a webpage that has the Owner's Manual available for download I'm sure FD3S.net also has it. Any forum veteran should know at least those too (skipping iluvmyrx7.com).

Oh and btw, don'tcha think it's about time to buy the Owner's Manual while it's still available for purchase?

Thanks for the answers.
You're very welcome
