Fuel system restoration

I'm collecting all the parts to tackle my rats nest and restore my fuel system. The car only has about 45k miles on it but it's 30 years old and all vacume hoses are crispy. I'm replacing all solenoids, FPD, FPR and having all my injectors cleaned as well. I'm also replacing the fuel feed and return hoses.

My main question for those that have been tearing down these cars recently is what condition is the hose from the primary to secondary when you pull these out? I feel like I should just replace it since I'm in there and would like all the rubber to be new but last time I tore into one of these, those hoses don't typically show many signs of wear but it's been over a decade since I've tore down a stock one.

I cant remember for the life of me what was in the fuel line recall kit either. I'm thinking it may be cost effective to purchase a fuel line recall kit if they are still available rather than each hose individually.

The recall kit is NLA, but the hose between the rails can still be purchase I believe. The recall kit has a lot of stuff, I snag one off the marketplace awhile ago and I can check to see what comes with it. Off the top of my head I think all the engine bay fuel hoses, and some vacuum hoses and gaskets.

I ran the part number the other night for the fuel line recall kit and a few places showed availability but that doesn't mean they actually have it. I was going to check stock once I figured out what all I need.

N3D8-13-420 is the part number for the updated hose by itself. you'd have to look at yours to see if its crispy or needs replacing.

Wouldn't hurt to inspect inside the fuel tank (new fuel pump / fuel filter) while doing a refresh to the other feed / return components. Rusty tanks are no fun and can lead to fuel starvation from sediments clogging the sock

Already done. Shipped the car from Japan and that was the first thing I did was inspect the fuel tank before filling it up. Nice and clean. Installed a walbro 255 and fresh fuel filter after running one tank with B.G. 44K. Im slowly making it through the rest of the system now. Then on to the cooling system. I just want to make sure the fuel was solid before I install my Intake. Plan to dyno bone stock, then possible after every mod.

Nice. I had done a good thorough drain and clean with mine but it still developed sediments in the pot area after a year. The baffle plates were getting surface rust so I opted to get a new 99+ OEM tank and be done with it. You'll get there, good luck with it
