Fuel starvation in corners - dangerous?

My car experienced some fuel starvation some corners at about 1/4 tank. I have heard this is normal.

Is it dangerous for the engine, or just annoying?

It's definitely a bad thing and more than an annoyance. You need to upgrade your fuel system or run at least half a tank of gas, sometimes more on some tracks to avoid the starvation.

Dont do it with 1/2 tank or less. Risky at best.

Extremely dangerous for the motor. Sooner or later you will detonate and break a seal. Either track with half a tank of gas or more, or get a proper fuel cell or surge tank setup. Its a lot cheaper than a rebuild.

We sell Feed's In-tank fuel collector that's been known to resolve this issue. I've heard nothing but good things from oversea's and a few people here. I haven't tracked my car with it yet to report any first hand experience.

I have one in my car, but I don't dare go below half a tank on purpose... Have not experienced fuel starve issues since installing it.

What about the level sensor?

Edit:

Never mind, I see that it's a replacement for the fuel sock.

Which one did you use? What adapter did it require?

Check out the Holley Hydramat. I'm interested to see if it works well in the FD tank. I installed one in my GTRX7 fuel cell.

The guy above my last post says he uses it. I'm gonna try it as soon as I can figure out which one he used and the fittings it requires...

well that is the difficult part, they arent easy to adapt an in-tank fuel pump..

I am using the 3"x8" part, which fits in the oem baffle perfectly, problem is it has a NPT fitting on it. not sure if there is a better way, but i ended up cutting the sock off an oem subaru pickup, which have long enough lead that you can clamp a 5/8" hose to it. that clamps to a 5/8" barb to NPT fitting on the hydramat. kind of janky but it works

holley does sell a hydramat that will attach directly to an in-tank pump, problem is it is too big to fit in the oem baffle. but you may be able to feed it out the side of the baffle, idk

You could just bend the long ends so that they sit against the baffle. That way you're guaranteed to get fuel no matter how many gs you pull, as long as there's fuel in the baffle.
