Funny you assumed I "googled" that surge tank. You're pretty good at assumptions and just coming up with your own answers before getting facts straight. You assume that because it's more expensive it MUST be better. LOL. Great mentaility guy.
I used to be enlisted, too and with BAH, BAS, and a roommate, I wound up making a good amount of money, so I can't commiserate with you in regards to being a poor enlisted guy.
Did you ask 034 if they provide a warranty? Did you even look in to the product before making all of your assumptions? I'm gonna go with no.

Nah, you're just being a troll, and I don't feel like being baited into an argument (which is really all you've done, in both recent threads we've both posted in) anymore. If all you want to do is instigate (which appears to be the majority of what you've done here) then I have no interest in conversing further.

my car seems to cut out when i accelerate hard. very random and is never the same. felt like i was gitting boost cut or ignition cut. didnt really bother thinking it might be my pump and tank...
its happened even with half a tank of gas in mine. kinda makes sense. when boost hits in my car it goes. 740whp and 620wtq

I'd prefer not to run a surge tank due to lack of mounting locations and the addition of fuel line locations. Mounting in the trunk
If the FEED baffle is more effective, I wouldn't mind giving that a try. Something that can get the job done, is hidden, and quick to install is most ideal. I just went through restoring the whole underside of the car last summer and do not want to go back in there cutting holes, running wires and fuel lines, etc. if I can help it.

Here is one that will do the same thing for half of the price IE SUBMERGED 044 BILLET SURGE TANK. and if you have access to a welder and dont mind making something you can just buy the top plate. IE Billet Surge Tank Front Plate 044
However, I think if you are just starting to experience this problem maybe something came dislodged or is malfunctioning.

Maybe I missed it but did you check to see if you have a broken part in the tank before you buy the FEED plate?
This is all speculation before you just do some investigating.

You're right. I just got back from vacation yesterday. I am going to go to my shop and pull the sender either tonight or tomorrow. Are the factory plastic baffle boxes known to break off on the 93 tanks or is it just the metal baffles?

Don't know if this helps, but on my S5 stock I had the same problem. Turns out the connector inside the tank was loose enough to cause intermittent contact and cut out on cornering/ acceleration. I ran a new connector with soldered leads inside the tank. Problem solved.

I went into the tank last night and the factory baffling and Hyperion cover were still in tact. I think that fuel might still be able to slosh outside of the factory pump surround even with the Hyperion cover as it may not create a perfect seal on the factory plastic baffle on hard left corning.
The FEED baffle looks beefier and like it might do the trick. Does anyone have any further information on it? Will it work with a Bosch 044?

I contacted FEED and asked if it will fit the Bosch 044. They are closed for holiday and I should have a response by the 20th according to their US side rep. If it is a no go I will start looking into a surge tank solution like the one above or possibly even a replacement tank with proper baffling.

FWIW, when I bought my car the previous owner told me that he had installed a fuel tank out of a 99' spec car that had better internal baffling. I figured I'd just drive the car until I had issues and in the meantime keep more fuel in it while at the track.
One year I put it to the test and I ran the car on the track until I had it cut out during a turn (quick left-right transition did it). When I came back to the pits and the guage level stabilized it was just below 1/8 of a tank. That's good enough for what I'm going to use it for, so I've never opened it up or messed with it otherwise.
I'm using a denso pump, so it's not pulling nearly as hard as an 044 would be, and i'm not sure how much that affects the propensity for getting air.
