fuel pusation damper

Considering I am re-configuring my fuel setup, I am contemplating removing the FPD or purchasing the marren damper from here: http://www.injector.com/fueldampers.php

There is a thread on this damper here:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...04&page=2&pp=15
if anyone is interested.

I'd rather be safe then sorry by going with some sort of damper, then nothing at all. I've heard from people that the aftermarket fuel pressure regulators act as a damper, but I don't see how that can work if it's on the opposite end of the system. Now I'd like to hear other members who have used the marren FPD or anyone else who would like to chime in.

That's about the only person I've seen here in the 3rd Gen section use an aftermarket FPD in the last few years. Most people either use the stock one or just do away with it when switching to an aftermarket FPR.

Thats the only thing i'm concerned about. If removing the FPD will have any negative affects on the fuel system.

Most aftermarket FPR have dampening capibilities. However, where that dampening happens using the FPR for it's dampening verse the stock location is another thing. I would image that the need for a FPD with an aftermarket fuel pump may be less. I'm sure you can find arguments for both sides (like the AST).
