Fuel Pump Problem

Just installed dual fuel pumps with aftermarket 40 amp relay and when I turn the key to the "on" position the fuel pumps turn on and never turn off. I realize I have the switch wire from the relay going to the wrong power soucrce but I have no idea which wire to go to under the dash. If anyone can tell me what color wire I should be splicing into that would be thankful because im tired of cutting the wrong wires.

run a fused power source directly from the battery to the load side of the relay
run another wire down to the pumps through the bulkhead, use a grommet,
ground one of the switching sides of the relay to the body
splice a wire into the Stock fp harness. i forget the wire color but the gague diff is obvious, this will be what activtes the relay when the key goes on/start it supplies power, which completes the circuit to the ground wire, which pulls the relay closed, which connects the pumps to the fused source

there are alot of other saftey and set up issues do do this the right way and every one has an opion on how many relays, wire size etc...
