fuel pump assembly

So I am going to a dual fuel pump assembly but I am planning to go E85 so I want a little bit more then a warbro pump so I plan on getting 2 Aeromotive 340lph Fuel pumps, Well my question is Will that pump fit in http://www.cj-motorsports.com/catrx7twinwalbro.htm assembly?

Supposedly the Aeromotive pumps are the same size as the Walbros. So in theory they should work just fine. You could also go dual Bosch 044 Pumps, but fitment is tight.

I thought about doing either one of those setups before I decided to go with a single, large Fuelab in tank setup.

Make sure that you update the thread if you do go with the Dual Aeromotives, I'm sure other people would like confirmation that they do indeed fit.

Go with the CJ carrier and dual Bosch 044s. I designed a system like that before.

i just drop that same setup in the tank last week dual aeromotive 340 with the CJ motorsports dual pump assamblie, they fit just like the walbro.

you will have to run a heavier wire than 8 gauge and 2 separate relays, i first did it with 1 single 8 gauge and i relay and the relay was getting burning hot, the pumps pull about 22 amps at full pressure.

Running dual Stealths as well.

Running 10 gauge and a 40amp relay.

Any issues with the baffle starving the pumps out? I was advised with caution that the stock baffle could not supply proper fuel with less than a 1/2 tank.

Yes, I was suffering fuel starvation once I reach about 3/8 of a tank with pump fuel, but for some reason now that I'm running E85 I have being able to go well below 1/4 before getting any symptoms of fuel starvation, don't ask me why.

Waiting on that anti fuel starvation kit.

I hear ya. This was my concern after reading Aeromotive's FAQ on the Stealth that another member pointed out on my build thread. They state that a dual configuration could overpower factory baffles with under 1/2 tank.

I really have no plans to go E85, but that is definitely a weird symptom you are experiencing. I have been considering reverting to a Walbro 400, or their 485. I feel that dual Stealths was definitely overkill, but it was easy to add another pump to my existing. However, 680lph is far past my fuel needs. And with the limitations of the stock baffle, I have been questioning reverting to a larger single pump that will still cover the flow I need.

I have always been conscious of tank levels when doing a full boost run, or hitting the turns, but to risk actual starvation is a problem I want to completely remedy.

If you want to completely remedy fuel starvation issues, you may want to think about doing a surge tank setup. I originally did dual Bosh 044 in tank and ran exclusively on E85. Fitment was a pain and fuel starvation due to fuel tank fill level was horrible. I had to make a concise effort to fill up at half a tank no matter what. If it was not for E85 I would have a blown motor. It finally came to the point where I pulled the pumps and said I was not going to put the car back together till I had a safe solution in place.

I eventually put together a surge tank the utilizes dual Bosh 044's and a single in-tank 044 as a lift pump but a single 255 Walbro should be plenty. Getting everything fitted and mounted was surprisingly easy. I now have no fuel starvation issues at all. I can pretty much do any type of driving I want at any fuel level no problem.

Here is a post, with pics, of what I used to build my set up.
